Former Clinic Sues Accountant for Double Billing

The financial officer/accountant for Rehabilitation Specialists of Livingston County in Michigan agreed to pay $1 million for double-billing Medicare. These charges were associated with costs for physical, occupational and speech therapy. The accountant was sued under the False Claims Act by a former clinic employee.
